The altitude is starting to take its toll, its hard to sleep as you find yourself suddenly gasping for oxygen, and its freezing at night, when I got into my sleeping bag last night i could see my breath, and my toothpaste was frozen this morning! Still, we did another acclimatisation trek, gaining 400m to 4850m! On the way up at a stupa I got my flag out and had a picture in my kit, as today was the day Wales played England! Feeling confident and can't wait to know the result! The last 20m climb felt like I was trying to walk through 6 feet deep custard! Very hard work.
Getting to the top of the ridge was amazing! Some really awesome views. Normal people would then walk down but no, me, Ollie and Pav decided to have a squat competition! Pav finished after 3! And after about another 30 or so, Ollie caved. - after all I couldn't let an Englishman win!
As if we hadn't done enough exercise, when we returned we decided to get out Ollie's travel gym which lets you work out anywhere using your own body weight! Was quite a novelty doing pull ups at 4360m!
