Week 15- Singapore Day 3
Today we did the 2 other bus routes; the 'original' route and the 'red' route. Both the routes were quite interesting and I think we got to see the whole of the city pretty much! We stopped off at Orchard Road which is a massive long road full of shopping centres and designer shops. We had a look round and we came across a Marks and Spencer, Charlotte was super happy as they had salt and vinegar crisps! She also bought some malted milk biscuits! We had lunch on Orchard Street before heading back. We got the bus to Marina Bay Sands, which is a huge posh shopping mall and a hotel which consists of 3 towers with a boat sitting along all 3 of them. We had a walk around the shopping centre had a look around a few designer shops. Inside the mall they have little canals with gondolas which people go on. It was mad! We then had a walk along the promenade to find ice-cream but we had no luck. Then we jumped on the bus which we though was heading back to Suntec city..... We soon realised after talking to a local that we was on the highway heading miles away in the completely wrong direction! Ooopppsss! The lady was very helpful however and told us where to get off and how to get back! Good job we both have a sense of humour otherwise I think there would have been a few tears.

By the time we eventually got back we were shattered and hungry. We had left overs from our huge feast a couple of nights ago but we quickly popped to the Hawkers Market to grab some duck to go with it and some prawn crackers ;). Both sweaty betties we were desperate for showers so we headed upstairs showered then came back down and chilled for the evening.
