Week 22- Australia (Cairns) Day 7
Our last day in Australia NOOOOOOOOOO!! So not ready to leave beautiful Australia but we are both very excited for the next chapter of our travelling story New Zealand. Had breakfast in Port Douglas then headed to the beach for the morning, need to catch all the rays possible for NZ. After a chilled morning we drove back to Cairns where we were staying in a hotel for the night ohhhhhhh! Once we arrived Brad and Char went to grab the bags and lunch whilst me and mum chilled by the pool. This is the life! We had lunch around the pool the sunbaked all day. Spent quality times with our loved ones. Mum and Charlotte had been nominated to do the ice bucket challenge so they were our afternoon entertainment! Hahahaha! Before we knew it it was time to get ready for dinner. As it was our last night together we went out to a lovely restaurant on the Harbour called 'Tha Fish'. We celebrate our last evening together and the awesome 3 weeks together with 'bubbles'. The meal was delicious tried all sorts of yummy fish dishes. Brad decided he wanted to do his ice bucket challenge in style....... In the restaurant with a actual ice bucket. It was hilarious! Was a great end to a lovely evening. We were all well and truly stuffed so decided to walk to the night market. Me and char wanted to buy some Aussie jumpers to keep us warm in NZ. Mum had horrific blisters from all the walking we have made her do so we jumped in a cab back and spent the rest of the evening snuggled in bed. Our last snuggle for another month! Boooo! Was a great way to end Australia :).
