Didn't quite make it to Cambodia! After a night of putting the world to rights...and several buckets of cocktails, we decided the beach might be a better idea :)
Next morning, realising that we had nowhere to stay, terror set in and we trekked the streets of Bangkok....one street anyway. We found the glorious Lamphu Treehouse and lay about for 2 days. Apart from when we went for lunch and were served by what can only be described as a ladyboy and were attacked by a big fat rat!! It didn't put us off however :) Went to the train station to change tickets and got stuck in a mini-monsoon for several hours. During this time Vicky got papped by Japanese tourists for being a big white Goddess! Then our taxi driver home filmed us on his phone, un-beknown to us, in awe of our whiteness!!
Went to get the overnight train to Surat Thani, taking out several asians in the process as we scrambled from the wrong carriage with our giant luggage. Survived the overnight train only to find that we were stuck in the middle of the jungle with toilets that were nothing more than decorated holes in the ground. Finally arrived in our hotel in Krabi, Ao nang beach. Since then the days have been spent on the beach, nights perusing the stalls, where we met a monkey friend called Tuk-Tuk.
Today was just your average day spent trekking with elephants which was amazing! Feared for our lives but it was once in a lifetime! The pictures don't do it justice.
One more day in Krabi before we head to Koh Samui....stay tuned!
