After an uneventful minibus journey, where we didnt lose Vicky this time, we pulled up in our hooker ridden street aptly named Joo Chiat Road (pronounced Do you sh@t road?) much to our amusement. Spent the night scouring the streets of China town in the rain attempting to find a meal not full of fish heads or organs! Anyone for Organ Soup? Spent the next day in a mall not buying anything but running around like mad women in search of all things green in prep...

Yet again we almost lost Vicky en route to our destination...a mix up wtih buses resulted in Vicky flinging locals out of the way screaming "STOP THE BUS" in an attempt to be reunited with us. Alas, she failed and was deposited in K.L. on a wall where she eagerly awaited our arrival. Luckily she was wise enough to inform us that she was located near a Mc'Donalds, giving us the inspiration we needed to track her down, trailing 2 cases and her heavy rucks...

La isla bonita! Pure heaven, no roads, just taxi boats. Had a really relaxing time. Definitely the most beautiful place so far. The sea is as warm as a bath and full of friendly fish! You can see every grain of sand on the ocean floor even when out on the boat, coral reefs everywhere. The sand is like talcum powder. Not much to say, in a word it was sh*te! A haven for dirty old men, which unfortunately, we are not! Didn't end up venturing out much, due to a combination of said men and a nasty dose of blister inducing sunburn. Did find a sanctuary though in the form of Scruffy Murphy's Irish bar which sold the biggest beef and guinness pies known to man (They put The Crown's to shame). After thinking it could get no better we arrived in Koh Phangan, which has 1 main road and yet is the most touristy place so far. We spent our days by the pool and our nights partying with buckets of whiskey and various pool and beach parties. After much shoe loss at said parties, Vicky was driven to insanity and has since discovered a lust for petit theft (the offending items can be viewed in the photos). In our defence the loss of our shoes was not completely...
