Where do I start. Today we got up got got ready and had bread and coffee for breakfast ( massai style). We carried sand in buckets on our heads. We built a house out of cow poo and sand. (very messy but lots of fun. Got a bit covered in it. Anyhow they best bit was to follow. Karen and Lewis was sat on the bench made out if a tree. I sat down broke the bleeding bench. The bench snapped and everyone ended up on the floor ( kept us laughing for the morning). After that we sacrificed a goat. Skinned a goat and BBQ d the goat. I was offered to drink its blood but I wasn't that adventurous. Not good with blood. Had a bit of the goat but wasn't that keen. We later had rice and goat. I just had rice not sure which bit of the goat was in the pot so best leave it to the others. We walked into town and gave out sweeties to kiddies. Lewis took us into the local bar we ordered beer but they had none. Only drink was Kognaci with soda. We drank few sachets. Sachet of alcohol how bizarre. Bizarre is not the word here. Lewis left us said he come back for us. We drank with the warriors and miloma. After few rounds and visiting the hole in the floor we asked got the bill. 34,000 shillings so we split it 4 ways each paying 10,000 each. Less than £4 each. We put Simone on a motorbike as this was the only way home for her. Me and Karen trotted home with her crutches. Through the fields we went passed the rivers. Meloma was a bit too drunk so she had to go by motorbike also. We got back and had massai food ugari and vegetables ( stiff porridge they say and you eat with your fingers and shovel it in). After that we sat outside on the mats with the radio watching the stars. The plan was to sleep there under the stars. I got a bit unsure so went inside And under my mosquito net. Gave it a long inspection first. Not good with crawlies. All in all it's been a good day at Massai life.
