We left Beijing on Sunday and spent 12 hours on the train to Xi'an which was an interesting trip. Its weird sleeping on a train especially when everything rattles. Neither of us slept much but we are here now, the worst thing is that we have 20 hours on the train to Shanghai tomorrow.
Its been worth all the travelling though because we went to see the Terracotta Warriors today, they were amazing. 6,000 warriors have been unearthed in 1 pit alone and this is just a quarter of the ones in this pit. They were built by China's first Emperor, Emperor Qin naerly 1,400 years ago. He was the same Emperor who built the Grat Wall. Over 700,000 workers built the warriors and his tomb and they were all killed after construction to keep the tomb secret.
Anyway the internet isn't working so good in Xi'an, I have been trying to load photos for 3 hours without success so I will leave it until Shanghai.
