Ok Travel plans as of today.... Here at Ohau until May 8th meet up with Sam on way to Christchurch for birthdays and visit some of his family head back up to Auckland/Hamilton area to visit more family and fly to the Uk Travel around Uk and spend the first week of June in Paris hopefully meet up with a few people Then either home in Early August or September

The wind at Ohau was violent today. It comes down the dobson valley and takes everything with it. It blows all the doors shut sending the trash cans we try and stop them with into the hallway, takes away the sheets, and sends the curtains sailing. Oh but the fresh air is so nice. Febuary 17th So after the excitement of last week life at Ohau has settled down once more. Today's plans, Timaru. Di and Charlie go into town for two days to get groceries because it's such a remote area trying to buy groceries in Twizel is a bit of a joke...and expensive. So we leave at about one today, stay the night at Di's friend Dina and have a big cook up and plan for the big shopping day. I'll finally get my hair cut for the first time in four months....a...

Well it has been one hell of a week at Ohau and I now firmly believe in the saying of "bad things happen in three's" About three days ago we had the dump catch on fire (we burn anything that isn't recycled or given to the pigs) but thats changing soon :) It burned for about two days but didn't cause any major damage...the fire crew only had to come out to make sure it didn't get out of hand. Then two nights ago everyone was hanging out in the kitche...

So it's about 5 o' clock on a beautiful summer day. I'm sitting in the office killing time until dinner at 5:30. Tony Tereza and I finished work at about 3:30 today. They're the new housekeepers from the Czech Republic and are staying here until April. We also got another addition to the Grottage. Sam who is my age and grew up in Kenya and staying for about a month after he finishes painting the buildings for the summer. The lifestyle here is pretty slow but time...
