This entry actually starts in Thailand, but consists of our journey through to Laos. We Left Chaing Mai about 6 ago in order to make our trip over the boarder to Laos. We caught a bus (mini van) which was awful as we got last seats at the back and we thrown about the entire journey. Never the less we arrived on the Thai side of the Mekong river and with a nights stay. Here we met a Group of people continuing with the same journey as us, and have seemed to stayed together ever since.

After dinner and a few bottles of the local beer we had all made good friends, discussed politics and the rest ad went to bed ready for the Slow boat down to Luang Prabang. This was a lot of fun, I only got cross once when the boat man tried to tell us there was chicken flu and make us pay more to get on the bus, but we got the boat and have lived to tell the tail. The boat was great we had lots of food and drink and had great views.

We stayed one night long the river and then arrived the following day in Luang Prabang. Where we found a guest house for the entire group. Laos as a first impression was beautiful and the people, much less pushy, Will updated about the next part of trip asap! Getting hungry now! xx
