So far Laos has been my favourite place, people are lovely and kind and although it is not a rich country it the people are less pushy. After leaving the slow boat and Luang Probing behind us Alex and I got a VIP, (which in no way explains the actual bus) 6 hours south to the party town of Vang Vieng, where tubing and drinking are the main past times!

We decided that we were going to take full advantage of the water sports available and went Kayaking and caving the first day. This did involve us stopping off at a few bars on the river and jumping off the high swings and zip lines into the river. It rained this day which was a shame but the following day we decided to tube down the river and some friends we had met on the slow boat were joining us. So 12 tubes and 6 bars later we were all swung out and ready to hit the Bucket Bar! Alex then thought it would be much more interesting to kayak down to the Capital City in Laos so on a hang over today we have kayaked for a good few hours. In no way do the people of Laos have any understanding of health and safety.
