The blog says Koh Tao but I am in fact updating the journal from leaving Vietnam.... Going to keep it brief as a lot has happened! We left Na Trang on the Night bus, pretty crazy form of transport beds on a coach, with a driver who beeps his horn the whole night and plays loud music and also thinks the road is a race track....thought we were going to fall off the edge of the road throughout the night, all the way to Ho Chi Min City. We got there early, about 6am and with only the day there we signed up to go and see the tunnels on the outskirts of the city. These were really impressive; we had the tour with a funny man who repeated everything he said. He took us all around the place showing us how they made air holes and could live in these tunnels, no one in the army was fat these tunnels were really tiny. We got to go in the tunnels which were pitch black and very hot. He also showed us how they would catch the enemy, with an array of traps in the ground. I really hated this was pretty sick, although they did have pretty amusing cartoons of soldiers. After a brief lunch we then began the journey to the full moon party in the islands, flying to Bangkok and then south... nothing really to tell until we got to the islands. We took the ferry over to Ko PangNgna met up with Kim and Ste from back home, and prepared for our night out... I thought it was be a tame night we ate some amazing sea food was delicious, then headed to the beach to see where this full moon party would take place the following night. Little did I know that after just one bucket, my personal favourite sprite, Sam song and red bull, I didn't get into bed until 9am the next day... Feeling a little worse for wears we stayed around the pool then got very excited and bought the outfits and paint for the full moon party... I think the pictures say everything you need to know about that night was a lot of fun...The next day we headed to Ko Samui, I didn't like it so much here, should have done some more exploring and after two days we got the boat over to Koh Tao to sign up for some diving. The diving was awesome, we did some training in the swimming pool which was a lot of fun and then the next day went into the sea. I thought that I would be fine but on the way down for the first dive I was totally panicked, breathing underwater is so unnatural found it a little scary, managed to compose myself and enjoyed the first dive. Second was even better saw some clown fish and a big snake thing... To be honest there is not much I can tell you at the moment, all we have done is sit on the beach and work on tans as there is not much else to do... I will try and be more proactive and create more interesting things to write about for the next blog.
