We arrived into Westport at about 1700 on Tuesday. The hostel was pretty cosy and had an awesome kitchen and we were made to feel at home! In the evening we ventured down to the beach to catch the last of the sunset and to have a bonfire and casual drinks. In the morning we got up and went for a walk along the coast. When we got to the beach at the end we saw a seal colony! It was pretty cool to see them in the wild! We then stopped at the 'pancake rocks' for some lunch and photos of stacks of rocks in the sea that looks like layers of pancakes!
We then travelled to Lake Mahinapua where we got some stunning photos of the lake and sunset. We were cooked steak for tea and had a fancy dress night in the pub! It was pretty good- we are yet to hear the winners of it but I think we may be in for a good chance! First prize is a bungee jump in Queenstown! :) missing you all lots! Big hugs xxx
