We have finally made it out of Franz Josef. There has been some bad weather causing the road to close so we had to stay for an extra night. Due to this we have to miss out our stay at Wanaka which is annoying, but we have managed to get to Lake Matheson this morning which is good. There was a perfect reflection of the trees and mountains in the lake- beautiful!
Thankfully the Haast Pass was open and we drove through to Wanaka. Wanaka is just beautiful.. Mountains, skiing, lakes, quirky- it's definitely a place to visit! We stopped to drop people off then made our way to Queenstown via the first ever bungy bridge in NZ!
Queenstown is also stunning! I have definitely fallen in love with the South Island!!!
