Hello neglected people back home!!
It's me again I haven't disappeared from your lifes but I have been roaming the wilderness for a few days.
So I went on a date in Melbourne for Valentine's day with a lovely Aussie bloke. We went for dinner down by the river in the city and it was very romantic. Just a one off, he's a sweet bloke and we swapped numbers but, as is the traveller lifestyle, the next morning I packed up my bag and hit the road. It did restore my faith in men a bit though which can't be bad!
Then I went on a 3 day 2 night Safari with 11 other people and a crazy Steve Irwin type tour guide (YEEHA!! was his catch-phrase) up mountains, through National Parks and around Canberra. Did not know you could ski in Australia!! We went to Squeaky beach, went to the most Southerly point in mainland Aus and climbed up the highest mountain in Aus. Stayed at a sky resort and did a shot-ski, yes a shot off a ski!! Got up close and personal with some kangaroos, emus and spiders. The video is so funny!!
Canberra was pretty interesting, we heard all about the Australian history and their involvment in the wars and about the Aboriginals. Saw question time with their prime minister and stood on their parlimentary building.
There were some characters on the trip; Team England was obviously very cool and I'm exploring Sydney with those girls today, Team Tawian was a little old lady I can only presume got booked onto the wrong bus and team wingebag was a gluten free, dairy free, moaner who upgraded to her own room, refused to walk anywhere, chewed our ears off constantly and talk about how much better Austria was than Australia all day.
Right so I'm off to explore the beautiful city now. I'll write again soon. As always rest assured I AM LOVING LIFE!!! By far the best thing I ever did was booking that ticket - as a wise girl once told me 'everything happens for a reason!' Love Love Love xxxxx
