I took a cramped minibus for 4 hours to the Laos border with Issie last Wednesday. The Canadian guy, Denver, from our Pai trek was also on the bus. The journey was pretty uneventful, I was sitting with an English guy and girl, Russ and Rosie, who were getting the slow boat too. Sorry I haven't written in a while, I know Mum for one questioned whether I was still alive, yes I am! So Lauren left me in Bangkok and I checked into a great hostel called NapPark just of Koh San Road, it was a bit pricey (12 pound a night) but had A/C, lockers and a room with a floor covered in mattresses that everyone just lay on when hungover and watched TV/went online/read. I met some new friends and went for a night out on Koh San Road with buckets in hand...

The boat trip was amazing!! We jumped from the boat and swam to see the monkeys, who jumped on one girls head and pulled her hair, they also bombed out of trees and into the water (they look like drowned rats swimming), swam up to boats to steal food and were generally entertaining and clever. We took photos of pirates cove (my camera's playing up I think it's got a virus and none of the computer can find the photos so I can't put any up yet), snorkelled and saw ...

The Full Moon Party was incredible!!! We danced and drank on the beach until the sun came up. There were skipping ropes of fire, loud music, slides, stages to dance on and lots and lots of UV body paint. It was amazing! I didn't bring my camera as I didn't trust myself not to loose it so Lauren took loads of photos, unfortunately her memory card was a dodgy fake from a chinese market and broke so we're not sure whether the pictures can be saved, fingers crossed! ...

So after two flights and 20 hours of travelling I arrived at Bangkok airport to be greeted by Lauren :) We got a taxi through the crowded streets and the change of culture was apparant already. After a quick shower and change in the hotel we hit Koh San Road to try the street food and buckets of alcohol. When they say the alcohol is strong they really mean it!
