Hershey's Chocolate World
Who could go all the way across the US and drive anywhere close to Hershey Pennsylvania and not stop? Not us! As we have friends that were kind enough to forewarn us, we didn't hold ourselves to too many expectations as to what we were going to get to see when we got to Chocolate World. It wasn't the happiest place on earth because everyone we saw leaving was frowny faced which Sarah said was probably because they ate too much chocolate!
Chocolate World is a tiny bit informative and the rest mostly just a sales gimmick and a ride park. As we were on our way to Washington DC we didn't partake of the ride park but rather enjoyed the free ride inside of the sales area and spent the rest of our time shopping. Its all a tourist trap but it was full seeing a full wall of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups or Kit Kats. Michael and I ended up getting a utensil holder for our trailer in red, Emma got a t-shirt, Katherine got chocolate bars you can get at a 7-11 for her boyfriend, Sarah got a Hershey bear, and Rebecca got her requisite keepsake keychain! It was an experience that I had wanted since I was a kid and missed out in going to the factory in Oakland that was not far from my hometown of Angels Camp! - Carrie
