We arrived in the pouring rain and freezing cold. The next day it snowed ALL DAY, -1 degrees and the day after, sleet. Hence the beautiful lakes and mountains we planned to trek were not to be seen. On the up side the hostel was comfortable, clean and had underfloor heating! We spent the days with fellow travellers (mostly Israeli) playing card games and drinking beer. The nights were spent in the sister hostel eating and drinking cheap red wine and playing Taki (a game similar to Uno and loved by Israelis). One night we ventured out late to the Irish pub and on the walk home 3 Husky muts accompanied us acting all defensive over who was closest to us. Dogs just rome the streets here with no apparent owners.
