This weekend was pretty quit. Like every Friday we also didn't have classes this Friday. We didn't have plans for the weekend because for one again we wanted just to relax so we went to the expo because we got some tickets from a friend who works at the expo. It was very nice and we saw a lot. Although it was very crowded we didn't have to wait that long to be able to entre some buildings. And for example we wanted to go to Japan but there was a waiting line for 5 hours so that we didn't do. We went to 14 pavilions. We arrived there just when it opened (9 'o clock) so we first went to the UK because we heard it would be very crowded over there and we wanted to see that and now there was nobody waiting there. When we entered we were very disappointed because actually it was just a building you saw and inside the building was also nothing much to see but I will post the pictures online so you can see. Although there were 2 people walking around which was funny but you will understand when you see the pictures. We just walked to some pavilions we wanted to see and if we saw some others without a waiting line which we thought would also be nice we entered that too. So after the UK we went to the Africa Pavilion, Lithuania, Croatia and after that the Netherlands. We eat a Dutch "stroop wafel" and some ice-cream which was both delicious. The aunt of Anouk lives in Sweden and I liked to go to Finland so we went there. We had to wait like 30 minutes so that was not too bad. Both pavilions where great we both really liked them. When we saw that we went to Australia and Thailand. Australia was nice and in Thailand they had 3 very nice movies about Thailand and also some dolls who talked to you. The last movie was 3D and there was some water coming out of the ceiling which was a part of the movie so that was nice to cool down because it was pretty hot that day. After we saw that we went to the China Pavilion. This pavilion was comparable to the Africa Pavilion. It had all little stand and all stand where showing something of a province and in Africa you had the same only then you had the different countries. It was nice to see but I didn't really like it. Then we went to Japan but there you had to wait for 5 hours so we were not planning to do that and next to it was Viet Nam and the Asiia Joint Pavilion without any waiting lines so we entered there. After that we went back to the European Pavilions because we wanted to go to Belgium to eat some "Belse friete" (Belgium fries) because it was already around 17:30. We also had a "Belgische wafel". At the USA and Brazil it was very very crowded earlier that day so we thought in the evening it would be less crowded and we were right so we went to the brazil Pavilion which was very nice. We were very tired of walking the whole day and the Expo is so big so we didn't have the energy anymore to go to USA. Last week we got a text message from school that we could get some tickets via school very cheap so we signed in for that so the 5th of June we will go again.
On saterday I went to a Library museum which was amazing. It was a library establish in 1847. It was very traditional and had 8000 very old books. You couldn't enter without a guide and he told us about the history and the changes it had had over the years. There was a woman from Seattle and we talked a while. The first British news papers where published at that library and they had some examples so me and the lady (Michelle) asked if we could see some. They still had the original ones so that was really great. They dated from 1917. I don't know if this where the oldest one. After that I talked some more with Michelle and found out the she is working on a program in Shanghai for American students who go to study in Shanghai. The program is at a university near mine but also at my university so that was funny. It was really a great woman to talk to. Downstairs was a exhibition with paintings of the painter Min Wae Aung. That was nice to see and after a while a man came to me and started to talk to me. He and his Chinese wife where the owners of the gallery. I don't remember how we got at the subject but we started to talk about dyslexia. He was also dyslectic and he told me about his life and his problems and the thing he had reached. It was a very inspiriting talk. He really inspirit me by the things he told me. For example he told me that he almost couldn't write or read. He had his own business for a long time but he had a secretary to write all the letters for him. Now he write a column for a news paper every week and he had written a piece for the book that Min Wae Aung (the painter) had written. When I went back, me and Anouk went out to have dinner and afterward we watched a movie at our room.
On Sunday I did some homework and in the evening we baked some shrimps and cooked some Shell fish "jacobsschelpen and Alikruiken" which was dilicuis only the "Alikruiken" where not that good so we throwed them away because we were afraid to get ill of it. After that again we watched a movie together.
Today I'm just going to study and tonight I have class.
About the shower it is only getting worse so that really sucks and now it also really smells very bad every time. They can't do anything about it until me move out but for the 1 and a half month left and the travel plans we don't want to so now it is just cleaning a lot.
I have to see how longer I'm here how harder it gets sometimes because I really miss everyone so bad and because of the time differents it is also pretty hard to be able to talk to everyone but 1 and a half month left and I'm just going to enjoy that time here and then after that enjoy that I'm back and can see everyone again.

Inga Your stories and pictures make us feel you're close. It's almost as if we see and get to know you more than ever before! A shame that we can't place our pictures in return to give you the same feeling .... Do enjoy the last one and a half month, Carola. It's a once in a life time opportunity to be in China and you'll get bored of everyone here, once you're back home! Thinking of you and much love! Take care! (and see how time flies ....)
Liefs xx Moon
Angel hey, It's nice you have been to expo. I think at least you can tell me which pavilions are worth seeing. Actually, the first pavilion I want to see is UK. You know, from the TV and online pictures, the appearance and the outside feature of this building is so beautiful and attractive, i have to say that i like it so much. But from your description I knew that you didn't like the inside layout. Frankly speaking, I'm a little disappointed towards the pavilion that i highly anticipated. It's so sorry to tell you that my original plan to Shanghai will probably be changed for the examinations and fieldwork. I have to rearrange it .I know anytime in summer holiday i can go to expo, but i won't meet you if i miss the July. It's awful and definitely a great pity to me. Whatever, I still wish you can enjoy your any trips. If I have any plan i will also timely tell you.
Angel What's more, I like the photoes of your different cities' travelling.
