There are so many things to do over here so again I had a pretty busy weekend. So I will start to write my story about that again.
The week was normal. Just school and study a little bit. So for that reason I will start with Friday
星期五 (Friday)
We went to Nanjing. We had to get up at 06:00 (much to early) because at 08:00 we had to catch our train that would bring us to Nanjing in 2 ½ hour. So at 10:35 we finally arrived in Nanjing. The weather was very good. Already 20 degrees. We first bought a map to see where to go. We decided to go to a nature park but when we half way we found out that that was pretty far away so we went back and went to the centre. At then it was already 30 degrees. We visited the confusion temple and China town. There was one man who was really follow us and made a lot of pictures but when we went into a shop someone sended him away (finally). We also had a picture with a little boy. We wanted to go to more places but something's we just couldn't find. We wanted to walk back to the station to see a little bit more of the city and we found a big market (See pictures). Something's where strange to see. The fish was still alive and jumping out of the boxes they were in. If you wanted one they would just kill it in front of you. The same with chickens. We thought the way to the station was not that far but it was. Finally we really had to hurry up to catch the train. Finally we had to run (with 30 degrees) and because the train was to late we did catch it. So finally we were in the train at 18:30 al sweaty and without having dinner but we where there.
星期六(Saturday)
Carol a French girl from our Chinese class asked us to join here to Zhouzhuang by bus. We thought it was nice so again a early start of the day 06:30. Zhouzhuang is near to Suzhou but by bus it took us 2 hours. We arrived there at 10:30 and went to the Asian part. It was very nice but also all the same. So after a few hours we had actually seen everything but we had to wait for the bus because that would leave at 15:45. Apparently the Chinese people in this place weren't that used to foreigners at all because like 6 people asked us to have a picture with us. So we really practiced our photo skills that day. The temperature was around 20 degrees so that was ok but it did look like it was very dirty weather.
I felt a little bit ill. My stomach was not really ok but some dry food really helpt. The bus trip was very nice. You really had the idea that you where in another country because everything looked to different. Finally arrived in Shanghai it was 18:00 so we went to have dinner in a Japanese restaurant which was very good. When we were back in our room we went to bed early because for Sunday we again had a full program.
星期天 (Sunday)
We went to the British part of Shanghai together with Jenny. This was actually planned for last weekend. It was again around 20 degrees but with a nice wind. First we went by bus and then by metro. When we arrived in the British area it really looked nice. All small artistic shops and really houses in the British style. Around there is also the shopping centre for the people that really live in Shanghai. So after a while we also went shopping.
昨天(Yesterday)
We took a rest because of the weekend we were very tired. Because my parents will come this Friday I had to arrange some train tickets and a sim- cart and Jenny helped me with that. After that I had lunch with here in the canteen. I didn't eat in the canteen before but you have a lot of choices and it is also pretty good food. You can already eat there for 5 Yuan (0,50 euro) it just depends on what you want to eat. I also received two post carts (thanks for that, I really like it). In the evening we had speaking and listening again. Last 星期四(Thursday)we had a listening test and we got it back and I had a 8,9 so I was pretty happy with that.
Today I will just study a little bit. Put pictures on the blog and relax because I'm still tired of the weekend.
Xx

astrid Hoi Carola. Je reist heel wat af daar! Leuk om te lezen. Hier horen we steeds over de zandstormen in Peking. Hebben jullie er ook last van? Nou, studeer lekker verder! Groetjes
Xx
