Yesterday we flew out to the Horizontal Waterfalls with Seaplane Adventures. Taking off in the seaplane from the dusty Derby airport, we had little idea of what the next 15 hours would bring. Enjoyed a nice early morning walk down to the Fitzroy River from the Willare Roadhouse, where we camped last night. No rush to do the 60km into Derby so we had quite a relaxing morning before heading off about 10:30. 31/05/14 Spent the day at the Broome Races. Typical country race meeting with lots of local characters, a dirt track, some ordinary horses, some dolled up ladies and a lot of grog. Nice relaxing day today. Carol joined me for a 90 minute walk north along the iconic Cable Beach about 7:00am. After a late breakfast we visited the "boulevard shopping centre" they even have Target and Woolworths!
