Didn't blog yesterday. We went into Broome for the day mainly to get the car serviced but also to restock the fridges. It was quite a sad day as after a quick shop we parted company with Eleni and Peter. They have Eleni's brothers wedding in Adelaide in about 9 days. Quite a day today. Slept in and took the boats down to the Lagoon about 10:30am. The preferred launching area was dry so the Hannans dry launched and left there tinny on the sand and we reversed down to the same area and set about filling in time while the tide brought enough water in for us to go fishing. Interesting day today. Started early to catch the low tide for a little mudcrabbing. Hanno had "hired" some metal hooks that are used to poke into likely looking holes and when you here the clicking of a crab defending itself, you manoeuvre the metre or so long hook to pull the crab out of its hole. We walked for 2 hours through soft boggy sand, through rushing water and over sharp oyster covered rocks and didn't see a single solitary mud crab. It was an interest...

After waking at Stanley Rest Area it was about 70km to the Port Smith turn off and about 23km of dirt into the caravan park. Our intension was to spend a night here and try our luck at mud crabbing at low tide, early tomorrow morning. Today we headed north from Cape Keraudren. Filled up with water at Pardoo Roadhouse and stopped at 80 Mile Beach. Had a swim, saw a shark hooked by a beach fisho and washed the car and boat trailer at the "Wash Down Area" Continued north to Stanley Rest Area where Eleni and Pete treated us to a Pork Roast on the weberq.
