Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!ma mate dint leave us a message, did she!? Well hello everyone and gday from Oz. Well we went to the Opera to watch Figaro..who was DAMN fine..(in my opinion, but obvs carl has diff views..) but yeah..it sed on the ticket partial view and i was like "ah well, they were the cheapest seats anyway!" but literally the view was more than partial we could only see the corner of the stage but what we saw was fab, it was sung in italian, obvs and i could vaguely work out what was happening but carl cudnt undies anything. There were surtitles above the stage but seeing as our seats were cheap..wecouldnt see them, but all in all, it was an amazing experience to sit in The Sydney Opera House and watch an opera! We try to spend as little times as poss in our room (which is good obvs) but the smell is putrid and its so damp and yucky and we wanna cry everytime we are in there. We were getting really really homesick and there was nothing else to do in syderz and we are running seriously out of money and everythings so expensive here so we decided to get the closest flight home asap so 9oclock sharp we were at the Qantas offices, a fair walk from our accomodation but a grumpy and miserable australian idiot couldnt be bothered to help us and sent us to STA..which were nicer but still couldnt help us and confirmed that there were no available flights home until our departure date...a few minutes later, standing outside STA on the crossroads, with commuters passing by, and the early morning traffic we both burst into tears and felt so alone..but we needed the answer to be a no to grow stronger. We have realised we are in SYDNEY for god sake..as is reminded every time we see the opera house...WE ARE IN s***TING AUSTRALIA..and why wish 2 go home..wen nothings changed...everyones still there..and its not long...anyway we cheered up a bit and got on the ferry to the zoo across the harbour where we spent a few hours waltzing round the park with giraffes, gorgeous lions, tigers, leopards..pythons..(omg they were huge) and koalas..omg they were SOOOO cute...it was really fun...then we went back to Circular Quay...the harbor of sydney city and decided to go to Manly beach for the rest of the day..which was absaloutely unbelievably supercalifragilistically FANTASTIC...it was truly the australian dream..and what everyone imagines OZ to be like. The main shopping street was just crammed with HUGE roxy, billabong, quicksilver, oneil and millions of surf boutiques which we could have spent thousands in..(but dint..seeing as we dont have thousands anymore...) and then there was the beach...literally dont want to be cheesy but white sands..clear water...surfers on the horizon..and beautiful beach boys...it was paradise...it was a bit annoying..coz it was a spontaneous day trip..we hadnt prepared for the beach at all..so we desperately went looking for something..carly bought a set of 3 tea towels for 1 dollar which is like 30p to lay on and i bought a towel for 5 dollars like 2 pounds..!! it was insane..we bought a few more treats for some spesh peeps but we aint saying nothing yet...anyway we were SOO seduced by Manly Bay that we checked out some accommodation and it was FAB..unbelievably superior to any hostel in the city..the dorms were actually really nice and it was packed with surfers and their boards...so now we are in deep thinking mode.tomorrow we are going to coogee beach, another beautiful bay, renowned for its fantastic beaches..then bondi..sydneys most famous beach and then possibly back toManly and then back to Sydney to fly home. So basix we have got the last few days of our absaloutely FANTABULOS journey at some beautiful beaches!! Jealous!? x
