Cooey! Soz its been a while since we have posted.There have been some traumas and tears and a few tantrums but we have managed to fill our days with wonder to keep us out of the s***hole that we are NOW in. Its unbelievable how expensive it is out here..we couldnt find or really afford anything as spectacular as our last couple of hotels but we found a hostel in the middle of the city and we paid a bit extra for a 2 bedded dorm which obvs just me n carl are in. Its still s*** but at least we werent given bed linen. The room is ok..smells disgusting (sweaty boy) and its smaller than a toilet cubicle..but we have to make do with limited funds now. Its clean but carly saw a cockroach in the laundry room. We were a little bit disappointed with sydney and perhaps its just due to the accomodation!? but we have realised how unbelievable and how cultural thailand and malaysia was, and the people were so much nicer and more helpful. The people are cold here and unwilling to help and the sneer at you. It hasnt been very welcoming and we feel alot more alone here and its sad that we feel like this at the v. end because we have had such a fantastic time and we really dont want to end it on a low. We try and wake up every morning with a smile on our face but theres not enough room to smile and it almost feels like a big effort. Sydney isnt all that its cracked up to be..Sure its spectacular to see the opera house and the famous harbor..but its a city..not as beautiful as Singapore and even London and 10 days is too long! We are trying to fill our days but we have literally run out of things..and everything is so much more expensive here..but so far we have been enjoying ourselves on high speed jetboat rides along the harbour, the sydney aquarium with sharks, penguins, NEMO and loads more amazing underwater things. We also went to the IMAX cinema to watch a 3D movie. The screen was huge..the biggest in the world..(thanx for the suggestion em) we went shopping and grabbed ourselves a few bargins..went up the Sydney tower to witness 360 degree views over Sydney from its highest point....but now we have a week left and are ready to come home. We are looking into it and will post up if there are any changes. Tonight we are going to the Opera house (2nd half of carlys boday prez) to watch the marriage of figaro! V.excited and dressed up! and tomorrow we are going to Bondi beach! but for now laterz x
