Well after a tough time saying goodbye to Sarah at Heathrow Airport and after an 11hour flight, I have arrived in Bangkok. Things started off not so good, as Thai airways misplaced my baggage - well at least i got it in the end! So I got on a bus towards the Koh San Road (Backpackers Road!). The Kon San is full of backpackers staying for a few nights before transitting to somewhere more exciting. I arrived in the evening and started my hunt for a place to stay for the night. After a long tiring trek through the back streets I managed to find a Single Room with Cold water and a fan for 300Baht, which is the equivilant to about 5 pounds - its not amazing to say the least but its a start - well I have to live the backpacker lifestyle. met a couple of Aussies and an English guy today, they seemed really nice - so probably going to meet them tonight in the Irish bar. Off tomorrow to Kanchanaburi (Where the Tiger Temple is), I'll also visit the floating Market, a war memorial and the Death railway on the way through.
