I have arrived on Koh Tao after a few really heavy nights out in Koh Phangan as you can imagine!! Straight away I loved Koh Tao, it is so beautiful and much less busy than islands like Phangan. Booked myself into a little nice beach bungalow on Sairee Beach, which is the main beach resort on Koh Tao. I did some exploring of the island on a quad and found some excellent snorkelling on Freedom beach and a few secluded beaches with few people on them. Would definitly recommend getting a quad to explore Tao, as there are some serious off roading going on to get to some of the more remote beaches. The nightlife in Tao is really good, it reminds me a bit like Vang Vien, as everyone ends up in the same bars/clubs and a bit like Koh Phangan as you have all the fire fun like Fire Shows, Fire Skipping, Fire hoop and fire limbo! I even randomly bumped into Dan Bolton from back home in Lotus bar....where else! I can see why he has not wanted to leave Tao and has spent months there. My typical night would be Choppers bar for a bit of live music then Lotus bar then either A/C Bar or Bans...but out of those two, I preferred Bans. Kept bumping into the same people, which was good....I think a lot of people visit Tao after the Full Moon to kind of chill out a little bit :) In Bans, I attempted a fire jump to jump through the fire hoop, well I managed it but as I landed I did a massive face-slide in the sand, so wasnt't at all graceful...class! I was much better at the fire skipping, probably comes from growing up with an older sister! Okay so I havent't spoken about Pracncys (ex-misses now) for a while, so here goes...since Prancey tragically ended their 4 day relationship, his chat will women has reached a new all time low. One example, this was when Prancey tried to introduce himself to a random girl, the conversation went like this: PRANCEY: Hi there, whats your name GIRL: Chloe PRANCEY: Oh thats nice, where are you from? GIRL: Sheffield PRANCEY: Nice Steal GIRl: Silence PRACNCEY: Silence GIRL: Leaves PRANCEY: Walks off laughing at his massively abysmal chat!!! Okay so what else has happened....hmmmmm, oh yeah I have been Sea Fishing. Did a day trip , maybe not such a great idea after a heavy night. The motion of the boat swaying side to side for 8 hours was nearly too much to handle...I it did manage to catch a couple of fish :) Also did a night at the bowling alley for some pre-bar fun...well it was like the the most Fred Flintstone bowling alley I have ever seen. Firstly you have to keep your own scores on a piece of paper, then there is a local sitting at the back of the alley putting the pins back in their positions when someone bowled them over! The alley itself was like a school hall flooring, the balls had chips out of them and so did the lane, so when you bowled the ball would bounce all the way down the alley!....still it was good fun and cheap cheap cheap cheap!!!! So after a week on Koh Tao, I am now off to Bangkok for final shopping before heading back home to see my family, friends and my lovely girlfriend Sarah :) x
