Just completeted the best tour, Triple J tours from Kununurra to Lake Argyle in a bus then back to Kununurra in a boat 55km. It was fantastic. Once again breathtaking, beautiful scenery, up small creeks, birds I have never even heard of, crockodiles, wallaroos, etc etc They have 50,000 litres per second flowing downstreamfrom Lake Argyle of which 40,000 flows out to sea for the environmental flow. Kununurra is lovely. Today is all food shopping, cleaning and washing etc sadly it has to be done especially when you have to empty the fridge of fruit and veg to cross in to WA. The drive from Katherine to Kununurra is more than what I expected. It is beautiful. Cannot believe the beauty of the area. Had a night in Lake Argyle - fantastic caravan park. Would like to have stayed a week but need to press on. the drive into Lake Argyle - 30 km must be the best scenery in WA. Truly majestic. Lots of ohh's and ah's and not a lot of places for photo opportunities.
