Further to the Broome Caravan Park being really nice. It apparently is right on the end of the Broome Airport runway. 5.45am all the propeller driven our planes warmed up and took off every 5 minutes until 7.ooam,
Mr B & Co love a sleep in, yet another early start. We seemed to be plagued with early mornings.
Cape Leveque or Dampier Peninsula is beautiful. Stunning scenery. Kooljmon the Indigenous Community has picked the best spot for a tourist destination and we had a tent overlooking eastern beach on a cliff face.
the Britz Rental Team could not get in Kooljamon so they did a night at Middle Lagoon then did a day trip to Kooljamon. Had drinks on the patio then elft for Long Arm Point. had a Picaninny drop in for a game of hide and seek. Then they went back to Broome.
Dampier reninsula is Stunning! Did the swim and eastern beach and saw a flock of whales frollicking 150 metres off shore. Went and looked at Western Beach huge red cliffs blazing in the setting sun.
We had a BBQ on the front deck of the tent and fell into bed.
Next morning 5.45am again and birds chirping and sun pops above the horizon and blinds you lyign in bed. I did the morning walk, swim etc and arrived back at 7.00ish and Mr B is up showered and cooking breakfast. Must be a first.
Wanderd around the Peninsula most of the day, Cygnet Bay pearl farm is fantastic . One arm Point is Ok. hit the sunset bar to watch sunset and saw the whales leaping etc again. ticked all the boxes. Fabulous day.
Happened again today and we were packed up and left by 7.30am on our way back into Broome.
99km of dirt and corrugations was enough. Mr B proud of his 4 wheel driving effort on the beach and in sand hills etc.
The whole entourage of the Caravan of Courage has assembled here today in Broome. The Hindmarsh Island Team arrived from the south all fit and well. The britz rental team also in Broome.
Going to party on cable Beach Tomorrow night.

JB and Christine All sounds great. Weather here not good. Sunny Wet and windy .Last vintage boat race today with Pig on a spit. Did see the whales at Middleton Beach Spectacular display
Julie & John Echo JB & C's comment on the weather. Freezing cold, rain, hail and of course it's a howling sou-wester. Definitely not ideal sailing weather. Keep the updates coming - we wish we were there in the sun with you.
