WOW..Changmai is nice we used it as a hub city to and from the Hill Tribe Trek... amd spent the most amazing day here too...

In the morning we went to the TIGER KINGDOM... I got to stroke, sit with and have my picture taken with 2 baby lion cubs and a daddy tiger... and whats more none of the animals were chained or drugged...and none of them ate me (whoop whoop) ... it has been so amazing to see so many of these animals ..and the odd elephant walking around too... Chang mai is more busy and town-like that I thought (I always envisioned a lil village) but has a lot of greenery and temples... and after the kingdom we went to a large temple and viewpoint with our new guide MR TONG - he is so funny and I keep teasing him about his daughters and their boyfriends ;) ... the temple is made from 24 carrot gold (well parts of the inside) I cant really remember why else the temple is "special" but it was really nice and I got blessed by a monk... have the string bracelet of safe journey and good luck to prove it - until it gets too mankey!

In the eve in normal tradition we went out for some north thailand food (which is really tastey and less spicy than food from the south) and visited a night market ...for a lil bit of spending - I am embracing the bracelets and funky 3/4 trousers here (with the crotch that goes to the knees) so comfy!!

WE then after a packed day enjoyed sleeping in a normal bed - the last one we would have for a few days...
