Wow Bangkok again - The adventure this time was leaving Ko Toa for over 24 hours of hell before arriving... read on to have a laugh ;)

So at 1pm we left Ko Ta on the sunday (there is a FB pic of 6 of 7 of us who went bk to Bangkok on the pick up truck we rode on - funny times - me in my sexy mac hee hee) so after saying goodbye (which was hard to do - prob woulda been harder if it hadnt rained all morning ;) we went to get the ferry.

The ferry - sea sick tablets in bad wasnt as bad as last time - its just annoying it was 2 hours delayed and took over 2 hours to get to the mainland (as opposed to the one is was supposed to take!) lol... then we took a bus ride to the mall had some food and went to catch our 8.45pm sleepertrain.

Again that wasnt so bad... but it was 8 BLOODY HOURS delayed so we were sitting playing all the card games you can image in the VIP room we hijacked until 1/2am when the train finally came... and left the station about an hour later... When I say VIP room I mean there were 5 wooden chairs a bench and a fan - hey ho it was better than the floor and we all slept really well (exhaustion!) lol... We arrived in Bangkok at about 3 in the afternoon and while sitting on the train me and Emily decided to venture though the train for beverages from the snack shop...not knowing we had to venture though 3rd and 4th class to get there - what can I say we chickened out in 3rd class and some nice Thai dude went down to get us water... we didnt complain about the journey after that and I dont think I will after seeing it... in 2nd class we have air con and beds and a bit of confort... cheap 2nd class has fans and no air con (and looks grimier) 3rd class people are sitting on bus-like benches (no bed) and 4th half are standing half are sitting -its cramped.... no air con or fans and the smell of BO is over-whelming while Thai people stare at you as if to say what are you doing here! lol

Anyway in Bangkok I went with others to the market (again) for some last minute spending :P and then met Pia who I stayed with - WOW nice apartment!!! It was nice cos I saw where she lived andgot to go in the swimming pool - where we spent mon morning too - before my alone afternoon (while she was at uni) SHOPPING - successful trip esp as I managed to get a new phone - to replace my broken phone (now just need a replacement camera lol) though cut my arm open - slipped on the wet serice in flip flops on the stairs and it looks MINGING lol.

It felt emotional leaving Pia as we had a good day of dinner and a farewell before getting my cab to the airport - it felt like leaving my family to go back to Heathrow but also well excited to see Howard and Lizzie... there were only like 75 people on the flight and I slept most after wondering round Bangkok for hours - not bad (but it reminded me of T5 and I think I prefer the mania that was there before - it caught the spirit of Thailand alot better)!

Btw fun facts: the richest man in Thailand invented Red Bull, the second richest invented Chang (Elephant beer) - which has an ingredient in it which is used to preserve dead bodies ewwww... and the third richest mde the 7-11 franchise over in thailand (but is also rich for a whole bunch of other reasons) ... a thai man-u subbie is also well famous!
