Wow - what a lovely sunset (too bad its from the last place) as Vientiae - the capital is horrible... temples and museums (of which I am all templed out of) its like an industrial city of nothing! Luckily we are only here for 24 hours to pass through and depart tomorrow to go to Bangkok (more coaches and sleeper trains - YAY get me sleeper trains and toilet sqatting... I am ready for anything now ;) hee hee)... the food here is either Western (burgers...pizza ....

WOW ... I spent two days in Vang Vieng... it was amazing... half relaxed and chilled and half party town (although there is still a death penalty for drug taking in south east asia alot of people were still doing weed and opium - crazy people!!)... After the LONG coach ride to get here we were ready for the relaxed vibe - as its so hot not alot goes on in the day... though a lot of people go to these cafes - where they also serve food and sit on these lounge chai...

Hi everyone... well what can I say Laos is amazing, its like a chilled, cheaper and more relaxed versionof Thailand (with more embroidary markets...morning market...night market... etc)... their fruit shakes are gorgeous too :) lol At first and after yesterday at the border we passed lots of northern villages where there were straw houses (though was entertaining to see great big satallite dishes and TVs in their houses too) though Luang Prabang is a big city in...

Right today (now I am actually up to date) we left Jing HOng for a 3-5 hour coach journey to the Laos border -got the visa sorted and went through a village to a quaint guest house - where we are staying for the night (before our 9 hour coach ride tomorrow LONGTING!)... It is so lovely here the drive here was through green mountains...think box hill for 4 hours but each hill bigger than the nxt and covered in greenary - the scenery - wow I tried to capture it on...
