Hello!

I have found time to update. I´m at a loose end and got free internet access so here goes!

So after getting back from our South Island trip, Karen wanted to spend some time with her sister and family while she still had some time left in NZ. I wanted to explore the North Island before I left! Angela kindly lent me her car for the weekend so I took off north on Saturday. My first time driving an automatic, and a saloon car for that matter. Was looking for the gear stick the whole time! Very easy to drive those though.

Didn´t do too much that day. Was lovely and sunny in the afternoon I arrived but started to p*ss after about an hour and didn´t really stop! Just wandered a bit of the town that eve, had food and went to bed!

Next morning I had booked to go swimming with the Dolphins. Off we went on the boat, choppy waters, grey skies. Yes, you have to love the weather. Unfortunately, we weren´t even able to find the dolphins, never mind swim with them. Was just too choppy. Still, I had fun on the boat, got that cool pic of this bird, I fed him myself too. And...I got a lifetime voucher to do the trip again, seeing as no dolphins were found that day! So I guess I will have to go back! ;-)

Driving back that day, I passed a beach and seeing as the sun was shining now I decided to stop for a little lie out. Was there minding my own business for a while, reading my book. Not many people about, then this dude plonked himself a small bit over from me. Took no notice. Looked up about 10mins later and the dude was naked! Yes...I was a bit surprised, as you might imagine. Then I started to have a look around...the beach was quite long, I couldn´t see people very well but, yes, it seemed I had plonked myself on a nudey beach!! I didn´t join them, in case yer all wondering!! And, I didn´t take photos, sorry! Was quite funny though!
