Up and on our way by 7.45am.
Bye bye, Lucerne.
Driving through fog this morning.
Went through Zurich...
.... ( Hey. Me. Seeing Zurich ! )
Very pretty. Lots and lots of the coloured buildings.
On to the Rhine Falls.
Very foggy and misty. Wonderful look.
Saw the boats, Mum.
Watched one go right up to the base of the falls
Can see why you were trying to stay away from the falls in the boat, Mum!
Bit scary!
Will be driving through the Black Forest later
And testing the cakes!
Stopped at a wonderful place in the Black Forest for lunch.
It is called the Black Forest because when the Romans invaded ( They've been everywhere! ) they went into the thick forest and said...
'Oh, this is black' .... ( but , in Roman.)
And it stuck.
Food confuses me.
( I know. I just like to release a tiny snippet about myself from time to time.)
I have been looking forward to this Black Forest Cake for days.
Hey.... It's nothing like chocolate mud cake!
Very disappointed.
Luckily, I spotted this fact before I bought any.
Had a spoonful of Trishs'.
Not nice at all.
Stopped in Heidelberg for some time this afternoon.
Some wonderful houses along the banks of the river.
Magnificent sunny day still.
Found a wonderful jewellery shop.
Had a lot of fun in there!
We are driving to our hotel now.
Buffet dinner at the hotel tonight and an early night.
Headquarters of SAP here?
Tried to offer my opinion on their product but the group ganged up on me.
SAP is the computer we use at work .... Mum and Dad.
Not everyone likes it!
That's all for today.
Very tired. Having an early night.

Phyll So great to sit quietly and read about your travels....everything here is fine.....the yellow roses around your kitchen window are blooming and they look absolutely beautiful, and the trees in the drive are leafing up, also the one out the back.....and the lawn is growing at such a rate, with the sun shining and the rain inbetween its amazing !!!Have been on the radio (3AW) talking to Jane Edmonson about Saffron Willis & guess what ?....had a lady ring me a couple of days ago wanting to buy some...couldn't believe it.....have been doing a few farmers markets also.Have finished one garden bed along the drive at Mirboo, it is huge, but I'm now having fun planting all sorts of things in it....now Ted is working on a garden bed to put a pagoda in, so I can grow a wisteria on it....should look good. All the fuchsia cuttings I took and planted are shooting, now I am putting them in individual pots, counted them the other day and there are 208 of them !!!...oh well Phylls Fuchsias is taking off too....You will be looking forward to your couple of weeks back in London to have a rest after all your touring around......Keep the news coming.....Love to you & look after yourself mate xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Katrina Just what we need for the office .....a cuckoo clock
Andrew B Hi Carolyn,What a difference in weather, from sun & heat to fog & mist!! Shame about the Black Forest cake, but at least you know how they got the name to start with!!! Finished work at lunchtime today (Wednesday) had to have x-rays of my neck taken for the Chiropractor and then got my car washed (George does wash cars, but I wanted it done NOW!) Now at home with my shinny bright car and thinking I might go out for dinner, just to our local Indian place - nothing special but the food is great. Funny you talking about SAP, we have another outage tonight, so we will be playing catch up tomorrow ggggrrrrrrrrrrrr Hope you are feeling refreshed. Andrew Xx
