Hey, in Split now having lunch at Jupiter's.
Went to chat to Petra in reception first.
That was fun.
Now decided to keep a count on the compliments on my handbag.
Eleven so far!
Strangers even!

Was sitting at the Riva when there was rather a commotion at the water.
Looked up in time to see a boy about 12 being pulled out of the water, followed closely by his push bike.
I gather he wasn't looking where he was going and straight in he went.
It's deep there.
So it looked like Dad and Uncle leapt in after him.
They were trying to tell him that it was a story he could tell his children.
He didn't believe them.
They thought it was funny.
I don't think he did.
Left Split at 1.30pm after some hilarious photo taking at the tiny street known as ' Let Me Pass. '
Just wandered a bit and had a last look.
Very heavy rain was on it's way and we only just made it to the bus for shelter
And then a quick walk minutes later onto the ferry for the trip to Hvar.
I like ferries.
It was a smooth ride really and I went up top for quite a while ( under cover ) to watch the passing yachts in the rain.
Sibila got us on board quickly at 1.30pm so we could choose very comfortable couches to sit on.
Unfortunately, a few members of our group chose the corner couches underneath the TV set.
And Croatia were playing someone in the match of the day.
They might have been comfortable couches but noise of the huge crowd gathered around the TV soon drove them away.
That crowd was pretty passionate.
Arrived Hvar and a short bus ride to the hotel.
The rain had stopped and it actually warm and sunny.
Huge hotel.
Nice room.
Balcony.
Absolutely rotten view.
On the plus side, best bed ever.
Off for a walk along the water into the town centre.
Just beautiful.
Will head back there tomorrow.
Buffet dinner at 7pm.
Blogging.
Bed.
Day of leisure tomorrow.

Nice to chat to Betra, like meeting friends again.….yeah you found “let me pass” Street, so busy when we were there……. you couldn’t pass. Those clouds look vicious, bet you were happy to be under cover sooner than later.Was your ferry one of those big white ones with blue writing or the catamaran ? Same thing happened to us with the couches, only it was the Master Chef finals…………funny! Welcome to Amfora Hotel Hvar, its enormous……and a bit confusing, but don’t worry, I still found the breakfast dining room haha. Same food on both sides (I checked it out) ……now for your feedback?????? Sorry about your room view, race down to reception and try anything that will get you an upgrade or room change. Don’t forget the castle up on the hill, worth the walk and then down all those steeps to the old town (they come out next to a café which is handy) and careful on the cobble stones, I had a topple which the locals found amusing I’m sure! Mum Good Morning Sweetie, Great lot of photos again, you do a superb job we Can tie everything together with your writings. Good work. Clever with the self ones? too. I think Aunt Joan was spot on with me and the handbag. Obviously I'm in the minority, everyone else is in holiday mood! With all the bell towers, do they ring at all have you heard? Keep having fun.
