Up at 7.30am.Ate lots of fresh fruit sitting on the balcony, just looking at the view.Then breakfast of bacon and eggs ( twice ) in this dining room overlooking that magnificent view.On the bus at 9.30am for a drive along the ridge of Hvar Island to see all the views.It was written up as a drive through the lavender fields but they have had disastrous fires here the last twenty years that have all but destroyed the lavender plants.There are some lovely fields tho...

After the exciting 'Room with a View' incident, I headed into Hvar township.Absolutely beautiful walk along marble cobblestones by the sea.Slightly overcast day but very warm.I'm going to climb to Fortezza Spagnola.And it is quite a climb.
