...i eat a fabulous breakfast and set off to visit the basilica of Covadonga, an iconic place for European Christendom
...I drive to the lakes of Covadonga, one of northern Spain's premier attractions, and find them delightfully empty after Easter madness (well parking lots are still full but I hear last weekend was true mayhem)
...I set off on a trail of Vega de Ario and after 2h I reach the eponymous hut. The weather is sunny and glorious, couldn't be better.
...I head back and get lost only a little while. I meet 4 people in the space of 5 hours. Great!
...I take final lake pictures at sundown and drive back to the village.
...I'm disappointed to find the illustrious Covadonga basilica is not lit up at night!
...I spend the night at Jorge's again! And decide to set off for my final hike in another part of the park the next day: I'm driving to the famed Fuente Dé tomorrow!
...I eat a splendid meal at Los Ramos restaurant recommended by Jorge - they prepare fresh delicious stuff just for me even though it's late and I'm the only customer. I don't ever wanna leave here!
