1. I catch the flight to Tenerife and a beautiful sunrise just before landing.
2. I get my car which contrary to prior arrangements is not a VW but a Peugeot, does not have a USB port or even w central lock but it still does not phase me.
3. I roam around the charming Laguna and eat my first churros con chocolate this year.
4. I pass through the island'a capital - Santa Cruz - discover the impressive auditorium and pick up my dad from the airport.
5. We check in at our first hotel, unfortunately a grim mass tourism affair with planes flying right over our heads every 10 minutes and fungus on the walls but at least the suite is big enough for 10 people.
