...I'm going to dive and find out my breakfast is served in a different hotel. Omelettes are huuuge!
...I dive two dives at local walls and am astounded - this must be the best area in the Caribbean to dive ever. Maybe except Belize...As in Egypt you can't wear gloves - this is a national park after all.
...I walk around the town and find that American tourists are everywhere and it is reflected in the amenities - elevators and escalators EVERYWHERE. Hardly any stairs at all!
...I observe some people dressed up, preparing to have a Halloween party, but they're mostly kids. And I buy a pumpkin frappuccino, Halloween style
...I marvel at the huge antennas taxi drivers mount on their hoods. What are those for?!
...I find Mexican Spanish funny and heavily infested with Americanisms: foráneo instead of extranjero, viaje redondo instead of ida y vuelta etc. But they're very easy to understand when they speak.
...5 days into this trip and I still haven't seen the local currency's. Cards and dollars everywhere!
...I walk the liquor aisles of local supermarkets just for the pleasure of marveling at the rich choice of local tequilas and mezcals...Some bottles are exquisite and the prices impossibly low.
...I enjoy a warm evening among the day of the dead revelers in the street
