...I go to dive another cenote with Jorge - a bit similar to El Pit but bigger and deeper, called La Angelita. Visibiity isn't perfect but there are some amazing visuals at the bottom with trees and clouds of fog like solution near the ground...
...I visit the nearby ruins of a Mayan site at Tulum - it's very impressive especially the beachfront location but it's so hot I nearly get a stroke trying to make my way back to the car..
...I stumble upon a local car with the late Polish pope's name on it!
...I find a real Mezcal with a worm inside the bottle - it'll be a treat!!!
...I drive to Valladolid, stay in a charming hotel downtown and have dinner at a decidedly romantic restaurant with a beautiful tree lined interior patio. The dinner includes a mixed tomato/avocado gazpacho.
...I notice Mexicans love using the word divorciado (divorced) in their dish names: it usually means something consisting of two different or separated halves.
...I discover even crappy roads, much like in the rest of Latin America, can be toll roads, as long as they don't pass through the small villages like the toll free alternative
