...we did more traveling than anything else, including sightseeing
...we found out that getting hourly buses to a location 10 hours away is no problem as long as it is within the same state; problems begin if you want to cross the state line - then even if your destination is close by, there will be 1-2 buses max if you're lucky
...we got wet more than anytime before in our lives and started questioning the wisdom of coming to India in August - from, out of all places, the rainy Belgium
...we learnt that even India's highest waterfall - the mighty Jog Falls - is no good when covered in mist
...we witnessed the power of music, lasers, water and kitsch combined into one in the impressive Musical Fountain in Jog Falls

...I caused a minor scandals at the Mangalore Kankanady train station - it seems that impersonating a ticket desk officer is a very naughty thing in India and frowned upon indeed; let's just say we will not be welcome at that particular station for some time.
...we noticed Indians love everything on wheels - from a guy selling snacks from a cart on a train ("Meals on Wheels") to an ambulance ("ICU on wheels")
...we saw more of the fun roadside warning signs: "Drive fine, no fine" or "After whiskey driving risky" being some of the more memorable
...we answered more questions: "Where you from?" than ever before - it seems this year there are even fewer whites here than last year; of course the answer: Poland was still often followed by: "And which country?"
...we finally had some amazing fruit juice: watermelon and orange and waiting for more!
...we tested our Steripen water purifier on tap water; the water survived and so did we, so far so good, no side effects!

fylyp naastimotherf Speaking of wheels, is it true that 90%-ish of Indian train wheels are Poland-made?
ThomasZiSteamTrain This would be incredibly surprising that square wheels also run in IndiaAnd the answer would be : British or Japanese wheels would be used, or anything which can be cast in a wheel with light over it
