After an extended morning in Seattle to see the view from the 'Space Needle' and visit a particular exhibition of scientific interest (!!!) we didn't quite make California for our overnight stay in the Giant Redwood forests of "Jebidiah Smith".

Seemed a little daft driving the last 100 or so earth miles through the dark evening as the whole point of the trip was seeing the scenery (oh, and the thermal imaging equipment in my helmet is on the fritz too!).

So, in order for my travelling companions to enjoy a relaxing evening soaking themselves in a strange bubbling vat of chlorinated liquid we stopped at a very nice hostelry in Canyonville, Oregon.

Should be in San Francisco by mid afternoon on the 4th via the Pacific Coastal Road (101) - unless we see anything else interesting on the way!
