Another early start today, had to be at the wharf by 8am. Today we headed for the Great Barrier Reef! We had a lovely small sailing boat which only held 30 people so it wasn't too crowded. Arrived at the reef at 10.30 and got to snorkel an hour or so until lunch was ready. Snorkelling was excellent! After lunch we had an hour on Green Island to have a wander around. After that we had another 2 and a bit hours snorkelling, this time we got to see a turtle, a sea cucumber and Lindsay and her Dad also saw a shark!!! That was quite scary as it looked too big to be a reef shark but we were assured it was one. On the way back we were given wine, cheese and biscuits, fruit and cake! It was a really good day out. Would love to do it again.
