Had a sleep in this morning as we've had a few early starts lately. Once up we had brekkie and made a few phone calls. At 12.15 our bus picked us up at the hostel and took us to the marina to do some whale watching! Had a nice afternoon on the boat and we saw around 5 or 6 humpback whales, a baby one even came right up to the boat to say hello. They were much more exciting to watch than the sperm whales we saw in NZ as they were much more playful.

Got picked up at 7.45 and headed off on the ferry to Fraser Island on a 4 wheel drive day tour. Fraser Island is the worlds largest sand island and its quite impressive. First stop was at lake Garawongwera which is a pretty cool sand lake. Next stop we drove partly along 75 mile beach where we stopped at an area with lots of different coloured sands.
