Had the most awful nights sleep, it was freezing and there was no heater in the room and 4 people in our room snored, we ended up getting up at 2am and sleeping in the dining room where there was a heater! Nigel our tour guide woke us all up at around 7 after his 2nd attempt. Didn't have to travel too far today, only about 2 hours of driving in total. We drove through the Flinders Ranges and stopped at Wilpena Pound where we did a 3 hour hike up Mt Ohlssen Bagge, got some amazing views as it was such a clear day. Got up at 5.15!!! i think we must be crazy. Caught the bus at 6.30 and drove for about 2 hours where we stopped in a place called Melrose, this is the gateway to the Flinders Ranges. Drove for another 2 hours and stopped for lunch, all our meals are included on this tour as there aren't many places to buy food in the middle of no where! Well it was still raining when we got up this morning and the forecast for the 2 days we are here is rain all the time! Nevermind there isn't a great deal to do in Adelaide so it's not so bad. We walked along North Terrace to see all the old buildings including the library, art gallery and museum. We ended up near the botanic gardens so we walked around there and found a winery. It was just like a museum on wine but quite nice, no free samples though!

We arrived in a rather wet and grey Adelaide after having spent two nights on the train. The train seemed a lot longer coming back, i think it was because we couldn't sleep this time. We even managed to watch four films in one day, very glad Robin has his laptop! We won't be doing much today as we need some sleep and its pouring down with rain, i hope the forecast is better for the next couple of days.
