Well another week has passed already! We haven't done a great deal over the past week, just lots of swimming in the lagoon! We really like it here and feel quite at home. Its our last day today so we will be making the most of it. For lunch we are going to have a BBQ on one of the free ones provided along the Esplanade. Could definitley get used to all of this!

Had to check out by 10am so we were up nice and early today. Mum and Dad drove us back to our hostel so we could dump our bags. We drove to the airport with them and took the car back, had some lunch with them at the airport and then had to say our goodbyes. It was quite sad saying goodbye and the last week has been excellent. Robin and i walked back to the hostel from the airport, it was strange being on our own again and back to being a backpacker!!

Today we headed for Atherton Tablelands, we drove back through Kuranda but didn't stop there. We carried on driving till we got to a viewing point for a giant Fig Tree, it was huge i don't think i've ever seen a tree that big! We then went on to the Crate lakes where we spotted lots of Turtles, we had our lunch by the lakes. Had to pack up all our stuff tonight as Lindsay's parents are off tomorrow :(

Decided to have a break from the driving today and just headed for Cairns for a look around. We walked around all the shops and had a walk along the Esplanade, it was hot today so we stopped for an ice cream. In the afternoon we headed back to the apartment and went for a swim in the pool. We were going to have a BBQ tonight but someone else beat us to the BBQ so we cooked all the food inside in the end but it was all just as nice!

First stop for today was Port Douglas, this is quite a posh area and very touristy but very very nice. They had a huge market on by the beach so we had a look around there before we found somewhere to have lunch. Next stop was at Mossman, another great rainforest location, we did a nice walk along Mossman Gorge. This evening we went out for a meal in Cairns, it was really nice to eat in a nice restaurant for a change! After we went to the night markets so Mum...
