Well we thought as we didn't have much else to do today we would just go for a walk, we got quite far until it started to pour down, we got absolutely soaked! we had to run for cover and now we have to get our clothes dry ready to leave tomorrow. Tonight we are going to have a KFC as i refuse to cook anymore in the horrible smelly kitchen and pack up our stuff.

Well the rain has seemed to of held off but its very grey today. We went for another walk by the lake, although the view wasn't great you can normally see the volcanoes in the distance but we haven't seen them once since we have been here this time. We had a nice ice cream from Burger King, they are a real bargain, 40 cents which is only about 15p! And thats about all we did today, not very exciting but i think we have done all there is to do in Taupo.

We got woken up this morning at 6am by the sound of Bagpipes, we looked out the window to see hundreds of people marching up the road in the dark! Today is Anzac day here which is the same as our Rememberance Sunday. It rained all day today and apparently it is going to continue till at least Thursday, nevermind!

An excellent sunny day today, infact i think its more or less the same temperature as when we were last in Taupo about 7 weeks ago. We walked along the lake this morning and went to the supermarket. We decided to attempt to cook in the horrible kitchen, couldn't believe it there was not one bowl in the kitchen! i think will we be having take away the next few nights!

The bus picked us up at 7.30am as we are in for a long day on the bus. We only made two stops today and they were only to grab something to eat. We arrived in Taupo at about 3pm, our hostel is horrible, the kitchen is filthy and has nothing to cook with! Our room is ok as it has an ensuite and a tv but there is a big hole in the floor!!! i think this has to be the worst hostel so far. We couldn't face using the kitchen so we went to pizza hut for tea.
