Well last day in Christchurch and we thought it was time we had a look round the shops. We stopped for lunch at a pub and then headed for Cathedral Square to see the Wizard (a man who dresses up in a cape and rambles on about his day to day business!). Much to our disapointment he wasn't there! Everyone told us he is always there but i guess he must take the whole of Easter off.

Today was much more productive, after lunch we caught a bus to the town of Lyttleton and took a ride on the Gondola. We got a fantastic view from the top of Christchurch and the Southern Alps. Its was a really clear day so hopefully the photos should come out well. It was a lot colder at the top so we had a hot chocolate in the cafe.

Well it was another one of those days that just fly by without having anything to show for it. I can't actually remember what we did other than food shopping!! Everything still wasn't open as it was Easter Monday, We just watched a film and stayed in! Boring i know but sometimes its all you want to do!

Easter day today and no eggs to eat!! We thought we were in for a boring day, we expected everything to be shut. We decided to go for a walk to the Botanical Gardens and en route we found an excellent market going on, there were hundreds of people there and all the cafes and bars were open. Everything seemed to be open as usual today, we had a look around the town and had some lunch in a pub. It was a lot hotter today, it must of just been a cold spell for the last week, very unpredictable weather! We attempted the supermarket today, what a nightmare, i think everyone from Christchurch must of been visiting it at the same time!
