Suzie had us up and aboard the bus very early to catch the B.C Ferry back over to Vancouver where we will be boarding the Golden Princess for the next leg of our Journey through the Inside Passage and on up to Whittier in Alaska. Our day began with and overcast sky but perfect weather for strolling around the magnificent Butchart Gardens. The area that the gardens are built was once a limestone quarry which was Jennie Butchart's husbands business from 1902 when the quarry closed in 1914 they were left with a huge empty hole in the ground at their backdoor so she began with a vision and a passion for gardening and set about landscaping the area into a sunken garden transforming it in...

A fairly civilized hour for our departure this morning with a morning stop at a beautiful waterfall along the way before we arrived at Horseshoe Bay where we catch the B.C Ferry across to Vancouver Island. Early start this morning boarded the bus at 8am heading towards the village of Whistler. A morning cuppa at Lillooet we travelled through rolling hill dropping down through Kamloops before following an old logging route with steep drop off's and sheer cliff faces. Another wonderful day being driven through the beautiful Rocky Mountains, morning cuppa at Mt Robson which due to low cloud we couldn't see the peak. Lunch was at a lovely little café at the water's edge of a peaceful lake and further drive onto Sun Peaks which is our overnight destination.
