DAY 20: A DISNEY BIRTHDAY
Been a big day - 10hrs at the happiest place on earth. Safe to say the boy had the best birthday!
It all started about 7am. All holiday I've had to drag the young one out of bed to get the day started.
Not today.
Instead he was the one opening curtains, turning on the lights, declaring "It's time to wake up!"
We passed through the gates about half hour after they opened. We hit Tomorrow Land and all its Star Wars attractions first up. In fact given the 5min queues, we hit some twice!
("Again? Again?", was a common reaction to the rides throughout the day!).
In fact the queues throughout the day were really good - most were only about 10-15mins. There was only one or two that stretched to the half hour (when you compare that to the 2hrs+ at some of the popular ones in Florida last time, that's not bad going).
The short queues allowed us to pile in as much as we wanted. The main park was closing early tonight due to a special Halloween party (you had to buy a separate ticket if you wanted to stay 6-10pm), so we were back at our hotel by 6:30pm. It's such a bonus to be staying just a couple of hundred metres up the road after a long day at Disney.
We've currently got our feet up at the hotel's waterpark. By 'we', I of course mean Nic and I. Josh is running up the steps of the waterslide at the rate of about two slides a minute and he's showing no signs of slowing down.
As I said, it's safe to say he's had the best birthday - and he gets to do it all again tomorrow!
