DAY 18: GARDEN DISTRICT AND GAME DAY We got out of the French Quarter today by taking a trolley down St Charles to the Garden District. Set in leafy surroundings, the neighbourhood is full of old style well-kept homes. The odd Hollywood celebrity is also known to call this area home. DAY 17: LAZY DAY IN THE FRENCH QTR After a good sleep in this morning, we took a stroll to the 'Maison' a club on the outskirts of the French Quarter via Jackson Square. The Maison had their regular 'Swingin Sunday Brunch' session - live jazz over a late breakfast. Seeing Josh jigging in his seat, a lady from a nearby group asked him up to dance. DAY 16: BACK IN THE BIG EASY Big driving day today, but we've reached our destination of New Orleans. We hit the road around 8:30 this morning. About half hour out of Vicksburg, we took an exit off Hwy 61 to enjoy a drive on the Natchez Trace Parkway. It felt like we had this scenic route to ourselves as the road weaved through a thick forest parallel to the Mississippi River.
