Making our way south. Visited Crater Lake. Cold, beautiful lake- deepest in the US and cleanest in the world. The crazy blue water! We explored some of the rim, visited the gift shops, and chatted with the rangers to have them explain why the water is so blue...still not sure why though!
Kept going and drove through some of the Redwood Forests. It was a drive through visit...saw some amazing trees. It was impressive to see the size and the girth that these trees can grow to! They can be about 700 years old, but 96% of the original forest has been logged! They can be over 350 feet tall. We got to drive to one that cars could drive through (not our motorhome), and was able to walk through.
Stopped in a great town on the coast of California for dinner and camping. On our way to family!
